Screen Sleep Function & Battery Run-Time

To extend battery life, Airmonitor Plus can turn the display off after a short period of inactivity. Sensors and logging continue running, only the screen sleeps.

Default behavior

  • Sleep Mode is OFF by default (as shipped).
  • With Sleep Mode off, the display stays on continuously until you turn Sleep Mode on.

Using Sleep Mode

  1. Open the Airmonitor app and select your device.
  2. Go to Airmonitor Settings → Screen Sleep.
  3. Toggle Screen Sleep ON to enable display timeout
  4. Set the Screen Timeout with the slider (10–300 seconds).

Waking the screen

  • When Sleep Mode is on and the screen times out, wave your hand in front of the proximity sensor above the display to wake it.

Tips

  • For maximum battery runtime, enable Sleep Mode and choose a shorter timeout.
  • If the device is plugged into power, you can keep Sleep Mode OFF so the screen stays on.
  • If the screen doesn’t wake, wave your hand 5–10 cm from the sensor and make sure the sensor area isn’t covered.
