To extend battery life, Airmonitor Plus can turn the display off after a short period of inactivity. Sensors and logging continue running, only the screen sleeps.
Default behavior
- Sleep Mode is OFF by default (as shipped).
- With Sleep Mode off, the display stays on continuously until you turn Sleep Mode on.
Using Sleep Mode
- Open the Airmonitor app and select your device.
- Go to Airmonitor Settings → Screen Sleep.
- Toggle Screen Sleep ON to enable display timeout
- Set the Screen Timeout with the slider (10–300 seconds).
Waking the screen
- When Sleep Mode is on and the screen times out, wave your hand in front of the proximity sensor above the display to wake it.
Tips
- For maximum battery runtime, enable Sleep Mode and choose a shorter timeout.
- If the device is plugged into power, you can keep Sleep Mode OFF so the screen stays on.
- If the screen doesn’t wake,wave your hand 5–10 cm from the sensor and make sure the sensor area isn’t covered.
